Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, hosted Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Marat Nurtelo, along with the Minister of Transport and Deputy Trade Minister in Islamabad to discuss ways to enhance bilateral trade, transportation, and communication cooperation between the two nations.
Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized Pakistan’s objective to boost trade with Central Asia and Europe by improving rail and road connectivity. “Trade will expand through enhanced transport links, and both countries can benefit from each other’s experiences in the communications sector,” he stated during the meeting.
The minister highlighted that establishing effective trade corridors and high-quality communication infrastructure is a key priority for Pakistan. He also welcomed the Kazakh delegation’s visit, stressing the importance of long-term strategic collaboration.
Delegation Discussions and Joint Ventures
The Kazakh delegation, which included Deputy Prime Minister Marat Nurtelo, Minister of Transport, Deputy Trade Minister Nurlan Soranbayev, Arman Sheklov, and the Kazakh ambassador, held discussions with Pakistani federal ministers, including Rana Tanvir Hussain (Food Security) and Hanif Abbasi (Railways).
Topics of conversation included joint projects in transport and communications, strengthening trade ties, and potential cooperation in infrastructure development. Abdul Aleem Khan underscored that both nations could achieve substantial gains through coordinated efforts in the transportation and communication sectors.
Deputy Prime Minister Marat Nurtelo conveyed his goodwill towards the people of Pakistan and affirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to deepening relations. The delegation also offered condolences over the recent floods in Pakistan, which reflects the fraternal bonds between the two Islamic countries. The federal ministers underlined the historic and enduring relationship between the two countries.
