Steve Martin, star of *Only Murders in the Building*, opened up about his co-star Selena Gomez’s evolution over the past four years during an exclusive interview with E! News at the Los Angeles premiere of the show on Thursday, August 22.
Martin praised the *Love On* singer’s personal growth, saying, “When we first met Selena, she was already self-possessed, dignified, and sophisticated. If anything, we’ve just seen that grow with maturity.”
He added, “She was already someone we admired and respected.”
Gomez also shared her appreciation for the team, expressing her gratitude for being surrounded by people who bring joy to life. “It’s just been a joy to have people I can look up to and just be reminded that life is good,” she said during the joint interview.
Notably, the former Disney star, who has been dating music producer Benny Blanco since July 2023, attended the event without her engagement ring, despite rumors of an impending wedding. This sparked speculation among fans about the couple’s relationship status.
