The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that all banks across the country will be closed for public dealing on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. This closure is in observance of the annual bank holiday, which marks the commencement of the new fiscal year.
According to a statement issued by the central bank, the holiday will apply to all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs), all of which will suspend public services for the day.
The statement clarified: “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealings on 1st July, 2025 (Tuesday), which shall be observed as a bank holiday. All banks / DFIs / MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date. However, employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office as usual.”
