Madinah Munawwarah, one of Islam’s holiest cities, and its surrounding areas experienced heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning, resulting in a distinctly spiritual atmosphere and a noticeable drop in temperature.
According to foreign media reports, the scenes around the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi) and particularly the Green Dome (Qubbat al-Khadra) were described as profoundly moving and spiritually uplifting in the wake of the rain. Pilgrims and local residents offered thanks to God, viewing the rain as a divine blessing (Rehmat). The rainfall enhances the serenity of Madinah’s environment, especially during the cooler months.
Following the downpour, temperatures across the city have fallen further, and the intensity of the cold is being felt across Madinah. The rain is traditionally seen as a sign of prosperity and blessing for the faithful, and the unique scenes observed at the Prophet’s Mosque provided a memorable experience for the visiting pilgrims.
