Karachi: Zahid Ahmed, a prominent actor in the Pakistani drama industry, recently shared a clear stance on his professional life and religious convictions during a podcast interview. He asserted that his faith rests on the concept of Angels and the Afterlife, rather than on awards.
Zahid Ahmed appeared as a guest on fellow artist Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, where he spoke openly about various subjects. When the host posed the question of whether he believes in awards, Zahid Ahmed offered a distinctively spiritual response.
“I believe in the Malā’ikah (Angels), I believe in the Afterlife. A Muslim’s conviction lies in these things. How can one have faith in awards?” he stated. This response sparked a fresh debate concerning priorities between artistic recognition and spiritual belief.
The host reminded the actor of his past accolades, mentioning that he seemed delighted when he won the Best Actor Award. To this, Zahid Ahmed responded, “Winning the Best Actor Award twice is more than enough for me.” Previously, the actor had faced criticism from some content creators due to certain statements. His latest comment clearly underscores his personal and spiritual commitments.
