In a series of moves following the tragic Glittering Plaza incident, Deputy Commissioner South Karachi, Javed Iqbal Khoso, has ordered the suspension of 48 half-finished buildings across the district. Out of these, six buildings have been sealed due to lack of fire safety measures.
According to Deputy Commissioner South Karachi, the sealed buildings lacked fire-fighting equipment and emergency exit routes. In the first phase, a thorough inspection of the half-finished buildings will be conducted. Additionally, data on old buildings without fire safety systems will be collected, and action will be taken against them.
