In a recent interview with Closer magazine, Sofia Vergara got candid about missing her iconic role as the fiery and hilarious Gloria Delgado-Pritchett from the hit show Modern Family. The show, which ran for 11 seasons from 2009 to 2020, centered on the fictional Pritchett family.
“I miss playing Gloria, I absolutely loved playing Gloria,” Vergara said. She added that while the cast was a “fictional family,” they became like a “real family” to her and she misses all of her castmates. “I would do anything to be able to work with them all again,” she confessed.
Hinting at a Potential Comeback
Vergara hinted at the possibility of a revival, saying she hopes the show “could make a comeback” at some point. She explained that it would be the “easiest ‘yes’” for her. In a lighthearted comment that showed her commitment to the idea, she said, “That’s why I keep texting Ed [O’Neill], reminding him not to die — we could never do it without him!” O’Neill played her on-screen husband, Jay Pritchett.
While she’s nostalgic for her TV family, Vergara also opened up about her personal life. She admitted to learning from her recent divorce but confessed that her heart is still open to finding her soulmate.
