Pakistan’s renowned cueist Muhammad Asif has maintained his excellent form, securing a second consecutive victory at the IBSF Snooker World Cup currently underway in Muscat, Oman, marking a positive development for the country’s contingent.
In his second group match, Muhammad Asif delivered a dominant performance, defeating Oman’s local player Qasim Al Balushi with a commanding 3-0 scoreline. This victory followed his successful performance in the opening match against Gibby Putra of Indonesia.
The performance of the rest of the Pakistani squad has also been encouraging. The third player representing Pakistan, Asjad Iqbal, has also secured wins in both of his initial matches. However, Muhammad Hasnain Akhtar, after registering two consecutive wins, faced defeat in his third group match, losing 3-1 to Ali Gharaghouzlo of Iran. Overall, the Pakistani team continues its strong campaign in the event.
