Fresh renders of the Google Pixel Watch 4 have popped up online, giving tech enthusiasts an early glimpse at what Google’s cooking up for their next smartwatch, and this is happening months before we’re even expecting it to launch.
The ever-reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (you might know him as @OnLeaks) teamed up with 91Mobiles to share some pretty detailed 5K renders and even a 360-degree video of this upcoming wearable. These images are giving us some clues about potential design changes Google might be making.
The renders show off the Pixel Watch 4 in a sleek black color, sticking with Google’s signature circular design that we’ve seen before. While it looks familiar to the previous models, the renders suggest that Google has made some subtle, but potentially significant, tweaks to their smartwatch lineup.
One of the most noticeable things is that the four magnetic charging pins that were visible on the back of the Pixel Watch 3 seem to be missing in these leaked images. This strongly suggests that Google might be switching over to wireless charging for this new model.
According to the source, the Pixel Watch 4 is going to be noticeably thicker than the one before it, coming in at 14.3mm compared to the Pixel Watch 3’s 12.3mm profile. This extra thickness could mean they’re packing in a bigger battery, which would be great news for anyone who’s ever worried about their smartwatch running out of juice.
Just like the current Pixel Watch, it’s reported that the Pixel Watch 4 will come in two different sizes – 41mm and 45mm – so you can choose the one that fits your wrist best. The design still includes the two side buttons and a speaker.
The display looks pretty much the same, although the renders do hint at slightly thinner bezels around the screen. This could mean you get a bit more screen to look at without the watch itself getting any bigger.
While Google hasn’t officially said when we can expect this new smartwatch, their usual pattern suggests it’ll probably make its debut alongside the rumored Pixel 10 smartphone series. For context, the current Pixel Watch 3 was unveiled back in August 2024 at Google’s “Made By Google” event, along with the Pixel 9 phones.
As with all these early leaks, it’s probably best to take these details with a grain of salt until Google actually makes an official announcement about their next-gen wearable.
