HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The cool front that brought needed rainfall to most of Southeast Texas will keep the clouds around for Tuesday.
Temperatures Tuesday morning will be in the low-to-mid 60s under a mostly cloudy sky. There’s a small chance for a lingering shower on the morning drive, but very little accumulation is expected in the few neighborhoods where it does rain. Extensive clouds will stick around for most of the day, keeping high temperatures in the 70s. Dry air will flow in Tuesday evening, bringing spectacular weather for Wednesday.
How does the rest of the week look?
We will be winning in weather on Wednesday. Lower humidity, sunshine, and pleasant temperatures will rule the day. Humid and warmer conditions return by the end of the work week and will continue through the weekend.
When could we get more rain?
Our next chance for rain comes over the weekend. The Gulf breeze will pump in a lot of moisture as the jet stream movies back overhead. For now we have low rain chances from Saturday through Monday, but on one or two of those days the rain chance will go up once we get a better handle on the timing of the next jet stream disturbance.
