A judicial magistrate court has sent two SHOs (Station House Officers) to judicial custody on charges of negligence in a minor girl abuse case in Jacobabad, Sindh. According to police officials, the two SHOs were presented to the court with handcuffs and were remanded in police custody for a day. The court ordered the police to hand over the suspects to the authorities.
Investigating Officer Ghulam Mustafa stated that the two SHOs, SHO AR 44 and SHO AR 52, were accused of negligence in the minor girl abuse case. Six police personnel were already in two-day remand in connection with the same case.
In a related development, Sindh Chief Minister has announced the formation of a special committee of the provincial assembly to investigate the Pakistan Radio incident. Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, leader of the Movement for the Protection of the Constitution, said that Pakistan cannot talk to Kashmir.
