Shah met with the new Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Javed Ali Odho, and expressed his good wishes for the new IGP to take charge of the Sindh Police force.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for the Sindh Police to restore its public-friendly image and to effectively implement the Safe City project. The Sindh government has been taking comprehensive measures to improve the police force, Shah said.
Separately, the IGP Sindh met with the Sindh Minister for Home, Ziauddin Laiq, and discussed strategies to curb crimes, street crimes, and organized crimes. Following a shootout in Orangi Sector 9 in Karachi, the police arrested two dacoits.
Meanwhile, in various areas of Punjab, severe fog has severely disrupted daily life, with multiple motorway sections closed due to low visibility. Four bodies were found near Mai Kolachi in Karachi.
