The Sindh Provincial Minister said that the provincial government does not consider itself blameless in the wake of the Glitter Plaza tragedy. He revealed that the fire safety audit report was meant to be presented to the Chief Minister on the same day, but it was delayed, leaving the CM perplexed. The Chief Minister has ordered the installation of fire alarms in all buildings and is in constant touch with the city administration.
The Chief Minister said that the fire brigade arrived at the scene within 10-15 minutes of the fire breaking out. However, he emphasized that the provincial government cannot be absolved of responsibility, and they acknowledge that there was a lapse on their part. The Chief Minister also announced that a special committee will be formed to investigate the Radio Pakistan incident.
