The Sindh government has announced that they will provide protocol to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Saeed Afridi when he visits Karachi. Sindh’s Minister of Culture, Zulfiqar Ali Shah, made this statement during a press conference alongside Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab. According to Shah, the provincial government will accord full protocol to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM, including presenting him with a shawl and garlanding him. The minister also announced that a food street will be established in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government as part of the Heritage Street project. Shah praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s team for working in line with the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.
In a separate incident, the Sindh government has taken measures to prevent the demolition of historic buildings in the province. According to a spokesperson for the Sindh government, any attempt to demolish a historic building will be met with resistance. Several buildings in the province are not included in the list of historic buildings. A five-member family was rescued from a canal in Karachi in a timely rescue operation.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader Ghulam Qadir Essar has accused the Sindh government of trying to mislead the public over water and sewerage issues. Essar claimed that the country’s four provinces are facing governance crises. A police spokesperson has confirmed that four bodies were found in a main street in the Mubarak Village area of Karachi. The police have arrested a suspect, identified as Masroor Hussain, in connection with the murder. According to DIG Dr. Adil Siddiqui, the deceased were residents of Khairpur, and the woman’s sister had identified the bodies after contacting the police. The bodies of the woman and her three children were found. The woman had left her home on New Air Night and was reported missing.
