The Sindh Education Department has implemented a novel code of conduct for educators in public schools, providing guidance on suitable attire and professional behavior.
According to the department’s official announcement, male teachers are advised against wearing T-shirts and jeans, while female teachers are encouraged to refrain from excessive makeup, jewelry, and high heels.
However, the department clarified that no specific clothing has been “prohibited,” emphasizing that these guidelines are intended as recommendations, not strict mandates.
Key Guidelines for Teachers
Male teachers should avoid T-shirts and jeans within the classroom setting.
Female teachers are advised to minimize the use of heavy makeup, ornate jewelry, and high heels.
The consumption of gutka, mawa, chhalia (betel nut), cigarettes, and other narcotics on school grounds is strictly forbidden.
Teachers are instructed to abstain from assigning personal errands to students, ensuring their focus remains solely on academic pursuits.
