The Sindh government has declared a public holiday throughout the province on May 1 (Wednesday) in observance of International Labour Day.
According to a notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, all government and semi-government offices across Sindh will remain closed on this day.
Additionally, all educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities within the province, will also be closed in recognition of the holiday.
International Labour Day, also known as May Day, is commemorated globally on May 1st each year to express solidarity with laborers and to honor the rights of the working class.
The purpose of observing this day is to initiate measures aimed at providing job security to laborers and industrial workers against all forms of exploitation.
