The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has appointed Aliya Hamza as the head of the Punjab political committee. According to details, Imran Khan had expressed strong reservations over the initial formation of the four-member political committee in Punjab. Following this, the PTI leadership was directed to appoint Aliya Hamza as the head of the political committee.
Imran Khan conveyed this message to the PTI leadership through Senator Ali Zafar. The political committee previously comprised Salman Akram Raja, Omar Ayub Khan, and Usman Akram. PTI leaders had informed Imran Khan about the committee’s formation, which held a position superior to that of Aliya Hamza.
Subsequently, Imran Khan instructed Senator Ali Zafar to appoint Aliya Hamza as the committee head and to inform Firdous Shamim Naqvi of this decision. During an informal conversation with journalists at Adiala Jail, Senator Ali Zafar, Barrister Aliya Hamza, Ali Imran, and Barrister Faisal Chaudhry all confirmed this development.
