The district administration resolved on Wednesday to institute a curfew in North and South Waziristan on March 27 (Thursday).
Details indicate that an official notice was also disseminated. According to the notification issued by local authorities, all primary roadways from the Saidgai checkpoint in FR Bannu leading to the Dattakhel tehsil will be closed.
Similarly, all routes extending from the Razmak subdivision to the Ghulam Khan tehsil, situated at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, will also be shut down.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Saleem Khan stated, “The curfew will be enforced tomorrow, March 27, in South Waziristan due to security concerns.”
The deputy commissioner clarified that this curfew will be implemented for a single day, specifically from 06:00 AM to 06:00 PM.
The curfew’s imposition across numerous areas caused significant traffic disruptions as various crucial roads were rendered inaccessible to the public. As per the official notification, the road from Azizabad Chowk to Serweekai and Jandola remained impassable throughout the curfew period.
Furthermore, the roads spanning from Asman Manza to Ladha and Makeen, along with those from Makeen to Bibi Raghzai, Serarogha, and Kotkai to Jandola, were also suspended for vehicular traffic.
Additionally, the routes from Barwand to Mole Khan Sarai and from Tyarza to Torwam were closed to prevent movement.
