Two separate security incidents occurred in Pakistan’s Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces on Sunday, raising concerns about the safety situation. However, authorities confirmed that no casualties were reported in either attack.
In the Noshki district of Balochistan, a police station was directly targeted by unknown assailants. According to Noshki police, the attackers threw a hand grenade at the station building before fleeing the scene.
While the attack caused alarm, officials were relieved to report that no officers or civilians were injured in the blast. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a powerful explosion rocked an under-construction building in the Naurar area. Bannu police confirmed that the blast was caused by explosive materials that had been planted inside the structure by unknown individuals.
Fortunately, as the building was still under construction, it was unoccupied at the time of the explosion, and no loss of life or injuries occurred. Police have initiated an investigation and are conducting a search operation in the vicinity to find those responsible.
