The popular horror-comedy drama ‘Jin Ki Shaadi Un Ki Shaadi’ is facing an unexpected controversy regarding its script, involving veteran actor Shamon Abbasi, even as it gains praise for its unique story.
Shamon Abbasi had recently claimed that the drama’s script and original concept were his, that he was initially set to direct it, and that his name was on the early scripts, but he was ultimately not given credit.
In response to this claim, the drama’s credited writer, Syed Nabeel, has issued a statement. Nabeel partially confirmed Abbasi’s assertion, stating, “Shamon Abbasi is correct that the basic idea was his, and I am not saying he wasn’t involved.”
However, Nabeel clarified his own role, adding, “I wrote the complete script and, as the writer, I structured the story’s flow.” Syed Nabeel concluded by suggesting that he, Shamon Abbasi, and the director Saife Hassan are all “equal partners” in the drama’s success.
