A deeply disturbing case has emerged from a suburban area of Sargodha, where a 15-year-old student has allegedly been subjected to gang rape and blackmail by five men for 16 months.
In her complaint to the police, the 8th-grade student stated that one of the accused first established contact with her by phone. He then lured her to a local gathering spot (dera).
When she arrived, the man’s friends were already present. The student alleges she was then sexually assaulted by the main accused and his accomplices.
According to the survivor, the accused also filmed an obscene video of her during the assault. They allegedly used this video to threaten her, warning they would make it public if she told anyone about the crime.
This traumatic period of blackmail reportedly began on July 7, 2024, and continued for 16 agonizing months.
Police have now registered a formal case based on the student’s complaint. Officials have confirmed that the student is undergoing a medical examination. Raids are also being conducted to locate and arrest the accused individuals.
