In the by-election held for the NA-213 constituency in Umerkot, Saba Talpur, the candidate representing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has secured a dominant victory.
According to the unofficial and yet-to-be-confirmed results gathered from all 479 polling stations, Talpur significantly outpaced the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate, Lal Malhi, by obtaining a total of 158,446 votes.
Malhi stood second in the count, securing 79,790 votes.
Nisar Khuhro extended his congratulations to Talpur on her likely success in the election.
It’s worth recalling that the late Nawab Yousaf Talpur had achieved a commanding win in the 2018 general elections, amassing 175,162 votes. His closest competitor, Mir Amanullah Talpur from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), lagged behind with 44,061 votes.
