The Russian Foreign Ministry has officially welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached between Afghanistan and Pakistan, praising the successful mediation efforts by Turkiye and Qatar.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that resolving differences through dialogue and diplomatic methods is a “significant effort” by both Pakistan and Afghanistan.
She emphasized that the commitment shown by both “friendly countries” to maintain peace is crucial.
The spokesperson added that Moscow urges Kabul and Islamabad to enhance their cooperation in various fields, including the fight against terrorism.
