Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that King Charles and Queen Camilla will be joined by members of the royal family for a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show.
The statement, released on social media, said, “Established in 1913, on the grounds of Royal Hospital Chelsea in London, the Show has become one of the world’s greatest showcases for horticultural excellence, attracting visitors and exhibitors from across the globe.”
The statement was accompanied by multiple photos of Queen Elizabeth, Charles, Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton from their past visits to the flower show.
It did not specify the names of the family members who would be accompanying the monarch and the queen.
The announcement came an hour after Meghan Markle took to Instagram to commemorate her seventh wedding anniversary with Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex ensured that her Instagram photo of a picture board did not include any images of royal family members.
Even her wedding day photo appeared to be carefully chosen to exclude any royal faces.
The single wedding picture on the board featured only Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are celebrating their wedding anniversary days after the Duke of Sussex extended an olive branch to his family in the UK.
However, he did not refrain from criticizing his father and other royal family members while expressing his desire for peace during his BBC interview earlier this month.
While the royal family’s latest outing was pre-scheduled, the joint appearance of King Charles and Queen Camilla with other members may be interpreted as a message to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Such moves frequently become subjects of online discussions, with royal experts offering their own interpretations.
