Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is on the verge of becoming the first captain to lead his team in the finals of all International Cricket Council (ICC) events.
According to reports, Rohit has already captained India in the finals of the 2023 World Cup, the World Test Championship, and the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
Now, Rohit is aiming to captain India in the final of the Champions Trophy 2025 against New Zealand at the Dubai stadium, scheduled for tomorrow.
It’s worth noting that both Sharma and Virat Kohli faced criticism leading up to the Champions Trophy due to periods of inconsistent form during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the New Zealand Test series.
However, Sharma regained his form by scoring a century against England in the second ODI prior to the Champions Trophy.
Furthermore, Kohli silenced his critics by hitting a brilliant century against Pakistan during the Champions Trophy match at the Dubai stadium on Sunday.
