In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Borge Brende, the President of the World Economic Forum (WEF). This meeting took place during the Future Investment Initiative conference and was held at the special request of the WEF leadership.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister praised the strong relationship between Pakistan and the World Economic Forum. He highlighted the economic reforms his government is making and expressed satisfaction with the improving economic signs over the last 18 months.
Shehbaz Sharif explained that the government’s main focus is on bringing economic stability, maintaining financial discipline, increasing investment, and promoting digital transformation. He added that the government is also working hard to boost exports, encourage public-private partnerships, empower the youth, and develop the IT sector.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan is in an important location geographically and can act as a key bridge connecting the regions of South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
