She claimed that she was arrested on false drug allegations and faced severe accusations after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Riya Chakraborty, a 33-year-old actress, shifted from acting to business and achieved success. However, she faced intense mental, social, and legal pressure during this period. Fortunately, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) cleared her of all charges in its closure report in 2025.

After being arrested and spending 28 days in jail, Chakraborty made a successful comeback in her life, returning to television, launching her clothing brand, and starting a podcast. She stated that when she discovered that the script for the show was written by Shahzad Khanzada, she began to doubt the authenticity of the show.
