Reneé Rapp didn’t hide her frustration after her set at the Reading Festival was abruptly cut short due to heavy rain on Sunday. The 24-year-old singer took to Instagram to express her disappointment after water from Storm Lilian accumulated on top of the stage and crashed down, drenching her band and equipment.
In a selfie posted from her dressing room, Rapp flashed both middle fingers and captioned it, “Girl, what the f*** was that.” Despite having pulled out of Leeds Festival earlier due to safety concerns, the *Mean Girls* star was determined to perform at Reading.
However, as fan-made videos captured the stage turning into a waterfall, Rapp vented her anger onstage, saying, “We are drenched. Some of our equipment is f****d, so thank you so much, that was really f*****g helpful. But we really want to give you a good show.”
Despite her efforts to continue, Rapp was forced to leave the stage when a message appeared on the big screen, informing the audience that the show needed to be paused and might restart shortly.
This incident came after another disruption at the festival, where organizers had to apologize to Lana Del Rey fans for cutting her headline set short by five minutes due to a production error.
