The remaining matches of Pakistan Super League 10 are tentatively scheduled to be played from May 17 to 25, with ongoing discussions regarding the venue and player availability.
Franchises have recommended holding all the remaining matches at a single venue, either Lahore or Rawalpindi, to simplify logistical challenges. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has proposed restarting the league in Rawalpindi and hosting the final match in Lahore.
Meanwhile, teams are currently confirming the participation of their foreign players. While some have agreed to return, franchises and the PSL management are actively working on contingency plans in case the full player roster cannot be met.
The potential options being considered include a replacement draft for players or temporarily relaxing the league’s mandatory foreign-player rule for the remaining games.
A final decision regarding these matters is expected by tonight.
The PCB had previously announced the indefinite postponement of the remaining eight matches of PSL Season 10 due to the deteriorating regional security situation.
The postponement occurred when PSL 10 was in its final stages, with only eight matches left to play.
After 27 matches, Quetta Gladiators, who had already qualified for the playoffs, were leading the points table with six wins, two losses, and one no result out of their nine matches.
Karachi Kings were in second place with 10 points, having secured five wins and three losses in eight matches. Defending champions Islamabad United were in third position, also with 10 points, following five wins and four losses in their nine games.
Lahore Qalandars were in fourth place with nine points, having recorded four wins, four losses, and one no-result. Peshawar Zalmi were in fifth position with eight points from four wins in nine matches.
Multan Sultans have been eliminated from playoff contention after managing only one win and suffering eight defeats in their nine matches.
