Following the untimely death of talent manager Brandon Blackstock after a private battle with cancer, his stepmother, Reba McEntire, shared a rare glimpse into how his children are coping.
In a September 14 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Reba revealed that the family, including the children, is deeply missing Brandon. “We miss him. We miss him every minute,” she said.
McEntire also provided an update on the children’s well-being. “The kids are doing well,” she continued. “They’re all bonding together and hanging out with each other, and taking it one day at a time.” The 70-year-old singer added, “We know God’s got this.”
Brandon shared a son, Remy, and a daughter, River, with his ex-wife, Kelly Clarkson. On August 7, a representative for Brandon’s family announced the news of his passing. “It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away,” the statement read. “Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.”
