Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has stated his opinion that Islamabad United likely possesses the “best” bowling unit seen in the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) up to this point.
Sharing his insights on his YouTube channel, Raja commented: “Initially, it seemed as though United might not even surpass the 200-run mark as their batting lineup faltered. However, the way the late middle-order batsmen, spearheaded by Jason Holder, rallied to help United exceed 200 runs against the Sultans was truly remarkable.”
Raja further added, “United have emphatically proven themselves to be a ‘big’ team in their performance against Multan Sultans during the seventh match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).”
“It’s the hallmark of a quality team to possess all the necessary skills to extricate themselves from difficult situations by simply applying common sense,” Raja elaborated.
He also acknowledged the intelligent shot selection displayed by the United batsmen, saying, “United demonstrated a strong sense of self-belief throughout their innings.”
Raja concluded by stating, “After the batsmen played a crucial role in rebuilding United’s innings, their bowlers then stepped up and delivered a brilliant bowling performance as well.”
