Karachi, Pakistan – A 12-year-old boy from Jacobabad has succumbed to rabies after being bitten by a dog two months ago. According to hospital officials, the boy was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi in a critical condition just a day before his death. The boy had been experiencing symptoms of rabies since the dog bite incident.
The dog had bitten the boy on his hands and legs, leading to the onset of rabies symptoms. Despite receiving treatment, the boy’s condition worsened, and he was administered painkillers as a palliative measure.
Rabies has claimed the lives of over 21 people in Sindh this year alone. The situation has led Governor Sindh to call for unity among citizens to tackle the issue effectively.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sindh has emphasized the need for unity among the nation to improve the country’s overall well-being. Provincial Assembly can enact laws to improve the province: PTI’s Azma Bukhari.
