Uzma Bukhari, the Punjab Minister for Information and Culture, has launched an extraordinary political attack, accusing the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of attempting to return to power by seeking support from hostile entities, specifically the Taliban and India. She characterized the opposition leader with the highly derogatory term “mentally paralyzed.”
In her statement, Minister Bukhari strongly endorsed the stance of the Army spokesperson, asserting that the “mentally ill” PTI founder’s anti-national agenda has been fully exposed, and the nation has recognized his anti-Pakistan narrative. She claimed that the act of criticizing military leadership serves as proof of the PTI founder’s psychological instability.
Bukhari emphasized the security implications of the opposition’s actions, stating that individuals operating against Pakistan constitute a direct threat to state stability. She warned those working on an “enemy agenda” that the state will successfully thwart every conspiracy aimed at undermining its integrity.
The Minister concluded by listing what she considers evidence of this agenda: attacks on state institutions, disrespecting martyrs, and propagating an anti-Army narrative. Her statement marks a severe escalation in political rhetoric, cementing the ruling party’s view that the primary opposition is a national security threat.
