The Punjab Highway Department has issued a high alert for the expected snowfall in Murree and Galliyat. Provincial Minister Malik Saheb Ahmad Bharath has directed the department to remain on high alert, keep machinery operational for snow removal, and ensure timely salting of roads. A total of 29,000 salt bags have been provided to salt stores, and salt camps have been set up at various locations. Two main salt camps have been established in Murree, while salt camps are operational at Kultana Chowk, BHU Kali Matti Road, and Lawrence College Road. Salt containers are available at Kultana Chowk, Banshera Street, Rescue 1122 Bypass, Card Road, and GPO Chowk.
Highway department staff have been instructed to remain on the field at all times, ensuring the continuous supply of salt during the snowfall.
