Punjab Information Minister, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, has stated that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Saeed Afridi, has arrived in Lahore, Pakistan, to explore the city. Whether he comes for political entertainment or informational purposes, he will be given full permission to do so. Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain welcomed the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying that the people of Lahore will treat him warmly. He went on to say that when Ali Amin Gandapur, a former federal minister, visited Lahore in the past, the people showed him the city’s lights. “CM KP’s team should do the same, eat roti, and take pictures,” he added.
Chaudhry Fawad Hussain stated that Saeed Afridi’s delegation, which includes his staff, will be given a full list of security arrangements in the Punjab Assembly. The delegation will meet with the opposition members of the assembly and deliver speeches. However, the Punjab government has made it clear that they will not tolerate any sort of bad language, disorder, or unrest during their visit. The government has also clarified that there will be no permission to bring arms or narcotics into the city under the guise of a political activity. When Ali Amin Gandapur visited Punjab in the past, he was given all sorts of facilities, the minister added.
During a press conference, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain revealed that the Lahore police had contacted the CM KP’s staff earlier in the day, but they failed to respond. “We will treat our guests with respect, but our guests should also behave like guests,” he added.
