Dallas, Texas – Loyal workers and founding members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) organized protest rallies across Texas in response to an appeal from the party’s founder. The demonstrations saw a large turnout of longtime PTI supporters, reaffirming their commitment to the party’s vision.
Addressing the protest in Dallas, PTI North America Coordinator Nadeem Zaman expressed gratitude to the volunteers for organizing a successful event in a short time. He emphasized that PTI supporters across the U.S., particularly in Dallas, have stood steadfastly with the party for the past 14 years, and this unwavering spirit will continue to drive the movement forward.
Among the speakers, Waqar Khan addressed the attendees, stating that PTI had secured a clear majority in Pakistan’s 2024 general elections. However, according to Form 45, the party’s public mandate was stolen. Hassan Siddiqui and Naushin Mughal reinforced the idea that “genuine democracy is the only way forward for Pakistan,” stressing that forcing an unelected government on the people serves no one’s interests.
The protest resonated with loud chants in support of PTI’s founder, with organizers condemning the unlawful imprisonment of hundreds of party members on political grounds, calling it a violation of democratic principles.
A large number of veteran PTI supporters participated in the rally, vowing to continue their unwavering support for the party. To raise awareness about human rights violations, local businessman Abbas Khan donated a truck equipped with multiple video screens, ensuring that PTI’s message reaches a wider audience.
The protest also featured a speech by PTI Women’s Wing General Secretary, Rubina Shaheen, who praised the dedication of the party’s workers and lauded their enthusiasm.
Participants in the demonstration emphasized that the people of Pakistan stand united for true democracy and their fundamental rights, declaring that they will not allow their voices to be silenced under any circumstances.
Meanwhile, another protest rally was held in carrolton, gathering in a restaurant parking lot to voice their concerns.
The speakers stated that these protests are a testament to PTI’s strong support in the U.S., and the party’s workers are demanding the restoration of democratic values in Pakistan.
