The Pakistan Super League (PSL) match scheduled for tonight, May 8, 2025, between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings at Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi has been postponed.
In response to escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) convened an emergency meeting with franchise owners and law enforcement agencies.
No official rescheduled date has been announced for the postponed match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings.

Separately, Pakistan cricket team captain Mohammad Rizwan expressed solidarity with the country, calling for unity and courage in the face of external threats.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Rizwan drew on Islamic teachings to emphasize restraint but firmness in the event of aggression. “We have learned from the pure words of Allah SWT not to initiate war — but if war is imposed upon you, do not retreat,” he wrote.
Referring to Pakistan’s long battle with terrorism, Rizwan remarked that “generations have grown up hearing gunfire and explosions,” highlighting the resilience of the nation.
