Production has officially commenced on the sixth and final season of *The Handmaid’s Tale*, Hulu announced on September 6. A photo featuring the show’s star, Elisabeth Moss, was shared on Instagram to mark the occasion. The final season is slated for release in Spring 2025.
Creator and executive producer Bruce Miller expressed his gratitude, stating, “It has been a true honor to bring Margaret Atwood’s groundbreaking novel to life, and we are excited to deliver a sixth and final season. We are thankful to Hulu and MGM for their support, and to our incredible fans who have been with us every step of the way.”
While details about the upcoming season remain under wraps, Miller previously teased a satisfying conclusion in a November 2022 interview with DigitalSpy. He noted, “We’re going to wrap it up on our own terms,” adding, “Having a book and an author still involved has been incredibly beneficial.”
Seasons 1 through 5 of *The Handmaid’s Tale* are currently available for streaming on Hulu.
