Protests supporting Khalistan erupted in Washington following Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar’s meetings with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
The protesters accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government of committing global killings and running espionage networks targeting Sikhs in Western countries.
Chanting slogans such as “End Modi Politics,” the demonstrators called for sanctions and justice for the killings of Sikh activists.
They also alleged that Jaishankar supported the targeting of Sikh activists and backed extrajudicial killings. The protesters claimed that his visit was primarily aimed at protecting the alliance between Modi and industrialist Gautam Adani.
