Princess Catherine, who recently announced she is cancer-free, is now turning her attention to easing one of King Charles’ biggest concerns: the ongoing rift between Prince William and Prince Harry. The brothers have been estranged since the Sussexes moved to the US, and their relationship has deteriorated to the point where they are no longer on speaking terms.
At the recent funeral of their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, William and Harry attended but did not communicate with each other, prompting Princess Kate to step in. According to a source, she has been called for “crisis talks” with King Charles, who is said to feel “miserable” over the situation, especially since he is also undergoing cancer treatment.
The source told Closer magazine that the King and Princess Catherine are working on an action plan to find a compromise and promote peace between the brothers, although it is not an easy task. Kate, however, is cautious not to upset William by pushing him too hard to reconcile with Harry. “It made her sad that William and Harry didn’t interact at the funeral,” the source added.
Despite her frustration with the situation, Kate is primarily worried about William’s continued anger. The news of her efforts comes after she shared plans to resume some of her royal duties in the coming months, following a “tough” nine months of cancer treatment.
