Princess Beatrice was conspicuously absent from the royal family’s garden party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, while her sister Princess Eugenie joined Prince William, Kate Middleton, and other royals for the gathering attended by thousands of guests.
The reasons behind Prince Andrew’s daughter’s absence have now been revealed. According to reports, Beatrice was in the United States, where she attended the 2025 Matrix Awards at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.
Beatrice was photographed at the 55th Matrix Awards, a ceremony this year dedicated to celebrating “Leading Luminaries” – seven “phenomenal” women who are “lighting the way.”
The awards are organized by New York Women in Communications, a charity focused on “connecting women leaders across the marketing and communications industry and empowering their success.” As per People magazine, Beatrice presented the award to honoree Dustee Jenkins, Spotify’s Chief Public Affairs Officer, expressing her pride in her friend’s achievements.
