Reportedly, Prince William is at his breaking point, and experts suspect that upon his ascension to King, significant changes await the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
This assertion comes from royal commentator Daniela Elser in her article for News.com.au.
The piece underscored the deteriorated relationship between the brothers, including claims from a former courtier.
This courtier informed Tom Sykes of the Daily Beast, “Charles might be content to tolerate this, but William will not. He utterly loathes and despises Harry and Meghan, believing they have betrayed the fundamental principles of the family, and the notion that they are leveraging their royal status as a form of influence will infuriate him.”
In light of this, Ms. Elser shared her perspective, suggesting that “the options available to a King William to curb the Sussexes’ influence would be limited, but it is evident he will adopt a considerably more rigid stance.”
This implies that “in both Windsor and Montecito, both factions appear entrenched and unyielding,” and “any prospect of reconciliation seems nonexistent.”
Throughout this period of discord and widening division, she noted that “two key aspects have emerged.”
Firstly, “the Duchess of Sussex is charting her own course and increasingly embracing life as a public figure, including interviews, and pursuing the necessary steps to develop her lifestyle enterprise.”
Meanwhile, Prince William seems to be preparing to “pursue the couple’s remaining royal privileges,” a move she believes could be perceived as “vindictive” from a monarch.
However, “if that were the case, it’s difficult to imagine Harry and Meghan accepting such a setback passively.”
Perhaps there will be “a book by Meghan, a sequel to Harry’s ‘Spare,’ or more interviews with Oprah? The Sussexes have long demonstrated their willingness to fight for what they believe is just and fair and to voice their opinions, repeatedly,” she concluded.
