Reportedly, Prince William has instructed Kate to cease contact with his estranged brother following Harry’s recent remarks concerning the Royal Family.
Harry’s comments surfaced in a BBC interview after his loss in a High Court appeal against the Home Office.
In the candid interview, the Duke of Sussex labeled the ruling an “establishment stitch-up” and suggested that his father, King Charles, could aid his case by stepping aside and allowing officials to proceed as necessary.
According to an insider, Prince William is deeply angered by Harry’s renewed public statements and interviews.
“William is furious that Harry’s speaking out again and doing interviews – he’s convinced this isn’t the end of it,” the source told Radar Online.
“He’s made it clear to the rest of the family that they should keep their distance from the Sussexes, because anything shared could be turned against them,” they continued.
“William doesn’t like having to put his foot down with Kate, but he sees this as necessary to protect everyone. What he’s most worried about is that anything Kate says to Harry could be twisted or resurface later – especially if there’s another book, or if Meghan decides to tell her own side of the story,” they explained.
Despite her husband’s concerns, Kate reportedly disagrees with severing ties with Harry and believes the Royal Family has mishandled the situation.
“Kate’s deeply upset with Harry, but she’s also frustrated that William and the rest of the family have allowed things to deteriorate this badly. It’s heartbreaking for her to watch the family so publicly divided,” the source revealed.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle surprised the public in 2020 by announcing their decision to step down as working royals. The couple subsequently relocated to California, where they currently reside with their children, Archie, six, and Lilibet, three.
For her part, Kate Middleton “is trying her best as she knows the family can’t withstand any more tragedies or scandals.”
