Prince Harry has seen a significant decline in his popularity in the UK since leaving the Royal Family, according to a recent poll by Statista. The data, released earlier this month, shows a sharp drop in the Duke of Sussex’s favorability since his exit in early 2020.
In October 2019, just before stepping down from his royal duties, 71% of the British public viewed Harry positively, while only 22% had an unfavorable opinion of him. However, by August this year, those numbers had shifted dramatically, with only 30% of respondents holding a favorable view and 60% expressing discontent.
Royal author Ingrid Seward attributes this decline to Harry’s controversial comments about the royal family. Speaking to *The Sun*, Seward remarked, “What people really dislike is that he dissed his family. His memoir *Spare* may have earned him millions, but it seems he’s paying a steep price for it—one that he’s still paying.”
