Sharif hosts dinner for coalition senators, acknowledges unified support for 27th Constitutional Amendment
Addressing an evening reception hosted for Senators from the government and allied parties in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed a measured optimism regarding the nation’s economic trajectory. He stated firmly that the country’s economic situation is gradually improving, attributing the positive shift to renewed political and economic stability which has set the country on the right course.
The Prime Minister emphasized the critical importance of cooperation and unity, extending his gratitude to all allied parties for their support in the passage of the 27th Constitutional Amendment. He asserted that all milestones achieved during the current administration are a direct result of the mutual collaboration between the government and its coalition partners.
Sharif specifically acknowledged the invaluable support from President Asif Ali Zardari and the heads of all allied parties. He highlighted that the joint efforts of all partners were instrumental in promoting a national consensus aimed at strengthening the Federation, serving the broader national interest, and enhancing harmony among the provinces.
The Prime Minister reiterated that the push for the 27th Constitutional Amendment was a collective endeavor to improve governance and bring greater transparency to the system. He maintained that Pakistan’s recent diplomatic successes and its enhanced standing on the global stage are reflective of the strong coordination and unity among the coalition.
