On Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during the inauguration of the renovated Gaddafi Stadium, expressed his anticipation for Pakistan’s victory against India in the Champions Trophy.
He said, “We are waiting for the Pakistan national cricket team’s victory against India.” He also hoped that Pakistan’s bowlers would put India to the test.
“Today is a huge occasion for all of us. Everyone has made all-out efforts to complete impossible tasks in 117 days,” PM Shehbaz remarked.
He lavished praise on PCB Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, saying, “I would now talk about the Mohsin Speed as the Shehbaz Speed is now an old story.”

PM Shehbaz appreciated the successful completion of the renovation of Gaddafi Stadium, stating, “The reconstruction of the Gaddafi Stadium has been completed in a truly splendid way.” He praised the collective effort that made the achievement possible in just 117 days, adding, “Everyone worked together as a team to turn the impossible into possible.”
Highlighting Naqvi’s Leadership
Prime Minister Sharif also highlighted Naqvi’s exemplary leadership, mentioning his unique habit of rewarding those who did great work by taking them to London. “I would tell Mohsin Naqvi to take the 2,500 workers to London for a tour,” he suggested.
