Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed his commitment to reducing electricity bills and announced the establishment of a cancer hospital in DG Khan.
Addressing a public gathering, he also revealed plans to build a university in Rajanpur.
He stated that the federal government is committed to ensuring uniform progress and prosperity across all regions, particularly in underdeveloped areas like South Punjab, through extensive development projects.
Focus on Economic Stability
Discussing economic progress, the premier highlighted that inflation has dropped from 40% to 2.4%, while interest rates have fallen from 22% to 12%.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s economy has stabilized, but now the priority must be on fostering prosperity and creating employment opportunities for the youth.
PM Shehbaz declared that Pakistan will no longer rely on loans for development.
Security and Fight Against Terrorism
Addressing security concerns, the prime minister stated that enemies are attempting to destabilize the country through terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
He stressed that Pakistan’s progress is impossible without eradicating terrorism and paid tribute to those sacrificing their lives for national security.
Vision for Pakistan’s Future
Vowing to make Pakistan a great nation, Shehbaz Sharif expressed his strong belief that the country is on the path of development.
He urged citizens to work hard and asserted, “If Pakistan does not surpass India in progress, then my name is not Shehbaz Sharif.”
