Dallas: A heartfelt prayer and condolence gathering was held at the residence of prominent Dallas community figure, Abid Hussain Malik, Board of Trustees member and former President of the Pakistan Society of North America, in memory of his late maternal uncle and father-in-law, Malik Khadim Hussain.
The event included Quran recitation, distribution of food (niyaz and langar), and a special prayer session led by Maulana Aseel for the forgiveness and elevation of the departed soul.
Before the prayer, Maulana Aseel delivered a brief yet moving address highlighting the significance of praying for the deceased, the reality of death, and the transient nature of worldly life. He reminded the gathering that true wealth lies in righteous deeds, and urged everyone to regularly send prayers for their departed loved ones.
A large number of distinguished members of the Dallas community attended the gathering, accompanied by their families, to offer their condolences to Abid Hussain Malik.
Similarly, a significant number of women visited Nosheen Malik (wife of Abid Hussain Malik) to personally convey their sympathies and pray for the departed soul.
It is noteworthy that Malik Khadim Hussain passed away earlier this month in Pakistan due to cardiac arrest, and was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard.
Abid Hussain Malik and Nosheen Malik recently returned to Dallas two days ago from Pakistan, and since their arrival, a continuous stream of community members has been visiting their home to offer condolences.
In a heartfelt message, Abid Hussain Malik and Nosheen Malik expressed their deep gratitude to the community, both in Pakistan and the United States, stating:
“The support and solidarity you have shown us during this time of grief have been a tremendous source of comfort. May Allah reward you all abundantly.”
