Pakistan defeated West Indies by 127 runs in the first Test match, with spinners playing a crucial role in the victory.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the Pakistan men’s cricket team for their spectacular victory in the first Test match at Multan Cricket Stadium, following exceptional bowling performances by spinners.
Pakistan spinners bowled West Indies out for 123 in pursuit of 251 runs. Sajid Khan claimed 5 wickets for 50 runs in the second innings, with a match total of 9 wickets for 115 runs. Abrar Ahmed also took 4 wickets for 27 runs.
In a post on X, PM Shehbaz wrote, “Brilliant bowling by Team Pakistan! Congratulations on the spectacular victory. Well done!” He also acknowledged the tireless efforts of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and his team.
The cricket community praised the Green Shirts, particularly spinners Sajid Khan, Noman Ali, and Abrar Ahmed, for their vital contributions in helping Pakistan take a 1-0 lead in the ongoing series.
