HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — We started off on a pleasant note Sunday morning with lows in the low 60s. Highs Sunday afternoon are expected to climb into the mid to upper 80s under mostly sunny skies.
Warm temperatures continue into the work week but we could see a little drop at the end of the week behind another cool front.
What are the chances we get some rain this week?
We’ve raised rain chances next week to the 30%-40% range Wednesday into Thursday. We still expect another cool front to blow in on Thursday, but we’re unsure how much tropical moisture it will have to work with. This will hinge on what happens with the tropical system currently moving through the Caribbean. We also could see a slight chance for rain next weekend as more moisture pushes into the area.
What’s happening in the tropics?
Hurricane Julia made landfall in Nicaragua this morning. It is expected to weaken as it moves west into the Pacific. For the very latest check out our daily tropical update.
